
This forced the speaker Kadaga to adjourn parliament to today though there were many pending issues which include committee reports, questions for oral answers, among others. Some members of parliament who were available said that the low attendance of members of parliament was caused by the big number of members of parliament who were not returned by voters.
The Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Ibrahim Semujju Nganda said that MPs could not come since they were looking for jobs to secure their future. Semujju and the member of parliament for Kigulu North Edward Balidawa said that the constitution should be amended to allow the president dissolve parliament before the incumbent MPs going for re-election.
The member of parliament for Ndorwa East Wilfred Niwagaba and Wakiso woman MP Rose Mary Seninde said that most of the MPs were missing the sitting because there was election of lower council leaders
