Makerere University vice chancellor Prof Venasius Baryamureeba has dismissed claims that he influenced the decisions of the University Electoral commission to Announce the NRM candidate as winner of the polls.
The much contested poll raised alot of storm at the campus which earlier caused the death of two international students.
Prof Baryamureeba has been accused by some students and some staff members of taking sides and supporting some candidates in the race and influencing the decisions of the electoral commission.
The vice Chancellor now accuses the opposition politicians of trying to use the confusion to build political capital and simple popularity.
