Bebe Cool was the biggest achiever of the evening as the Pearl of Africa Music Awards organizing committee announced the winners for 2010.
Bebe Cool was voted the Artist of the year, the first time he has won the accolade. He also won the album of the year award for his Kasepiki, as well as the best reggae artist of the year.
Bebe Cool beat off stiff competition from Jose Chameleon, Mose Radio and Weasel TV to take the top honours of the PAM artist of the year.
The outgoing PAM award artist of the year (2008), Juliana Kanyomozi surprisingly didn’t win any award at the 2010 event, despite having a successful music year, with several popular singles and music collaborations. Iryn Namubiru was the named the Female Artist of the year while Radio and Weasel took the best male artist of the year accolade.
