Parliament of Uganda
Parliament has adopted the report of the select committee that investigated the taking of  land belonging to public schools in Kampala Capital City Authority. The members of parliament on the committee visited 18 public schools whose land was grabbed and some whose land is under threat.

— Parliament of Uganda (@Parliament_UG) December 16, 2015

Parliament chaired by the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga approved the committee’s recommendations which state that government should carry out an audit of all public land within a period of eight months from now. Parliament also approved a recommendation that calls the inspector general of government to investigate matters pertaining unnecessary delays by KCCA in the approval of building plans.
Members of Parliament say that government should grant the school management committees corporate status to leverage them in the protection of their property interests. MPs also approved a recommendation that Nakivubo stadium board of trustee be disbanded over the mess in its effort to redevelop Nakivubo stadium and directed the IGG to investigate whether crimes were committed while executing their mandate in the process of awarding a contract to Ham enterprises limited, Nterenfune enterprises, Basin limited and Future land limited. Additionally MPs called the Attorney general to review the contracts entered  with these four companies over redevelopment of Nakivubo stadium.
Parliament recommended that all the tenants on Nakivubo stadium land be evicted to pave way for the development of the stadium  and a joint implementation committee be established  comprising of representatives from all the contractors, chief government valuer, Attorney General and board of trustee of Nakivubo stadium, to oversee the execution contracts for the redevelopment of Nakivubo stadium.
