The Chairperson of this Committee who is also the Woman MP for Nakasongola district, Margaret Komuhangi, says that some companies are mistreating Ugandans and that some people are over worked as slaves.
She noted that the foreign companies exploiting Ugandans are mostly from China, India among others, adding that the foreign companies favor the workers of their origin.

She mentioned some of the companies which include; Entebbe Express High way, China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd among others.

Komuhangi says government should make a law that will give a Ugandan the first priority to be considered to work before the foreigners are employed to avoid imbalances in employing locals.

However, State minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Kabafunzaki Herbert, says that they are going to undertake field trips in the foreign companies in Uganda those that employ Ugandans in the Arab-Asian countries to establish the truth of the matters whether the workers are exploited.
