Lukwago accuses Mayor Sebagala of stealing KCC land

The Lord Mayor  for Kampala  Erias Lukwago has accused the Mayor of Kampala Alhaji Nasser Ntege Sebaggala of leading a group  which is grabbing Kampala city council land.

Lukwago made the remarks while addressing journalists at parliament on the illegal land give away going on in kampala.

He alleged that mayor sebaggala and the chairman of kampala central division Godfrey Nyakana are grabbing KCC land so that by the time Lukwago  takes over office all the kcc land is almost sold to themselves and other individuals at small amounts of money.

He stated that sebaggala after selling mayor house is now grabbing the town clerk house at sezibwa road in Nakasero.

He added that sebaggala and group has sold 8 plots of land totaling to 64 acres at  108 million shillings yet the land  was reserved to be the new garbage disposal in kampala.

He further accused kcc officials with help of sebaggala of leasing afresh  plots on Nakivubo channel  and giving kcc parking yard and Buganda road primary school play ground to individuals in unclear circumstances.

Lukwago vowed to cause a review of all the leases given to different to own land in kampala when he takes over as lord mayor on 20th may  because all the transcations were done illegally by the old KCC authority under sebagala since the new kampala city act ended their work in march this year.
