The Kenyan police chief in charge of Meru district, Mr. Odera Tom has discouraged all football fans in Kenya against taking fanaticism into football. He was reacting on news that an Arsenal football fan in Kenya stabbed a Liverpool supporter to death last Saturday while they were watching on their television a match when the Merseyside club beat the Londoners 5-1 in the Premier League.

Tom Odera says an Asernal fan; David Mwangi stabbed his colleague, Anthony Mutethia because the two had a bitter argument over the match.

Kenyans are known in Africa as the most sadists. In 2013 a Manchester United fan in Nairobi committed suicide after his team lost to Newcastle United. An Arsenal fan hanged himself in 2009 after the Londoners lost to United in the second leg of a Champions League semi-final match.
