Crested Cranes leaves for Democratic Republic of Congo

The National women football team -the Crested Cranes has left Uganda today for Democratic Republic of Congo. The team has been undergoing a residential training at Njeru Technical Centre.

The return leg between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo is to be held in Kinshasa on January 28th 2012.
The squad of 25 players of Crested Cranes will play against DR Congo at Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa in the central region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Team has been led by the drew 1-1 with the Democratic Republic of Congo in their first leg at Nakivubo stadium in Kampala. The match was attended by about 5,000 people. The squad of Crested Cranes that have left Uganda for Congo include Goal keepers: Fatuma Matovu, Annet Nanyonga, Aya Harriet
Defenders: Stella Nassuna, Zaina Namukasa, Gladyse Nakitto, Shamim Nantege, Christine Wanyana, Memory Nampijja, Mary Babirye, Sharlotte Binsiima, Midfielders: Sylivia Nagawa, Naome Nagaddya, Christine Nambirige, Rita Kivumbi, , Rita Nakirijja, Tracy Akiror and Strikers: Dorothy Nakato, Winnie Babirye, Fatuma Luwedde Walugembe, Hadijjah Nampijja, Viola Nambi, Joyce NMwebaza, Sylivia Nakazibwe and Sandra Nabweteme.
