We would like to express our sincere condolences on the death of Nelson Tugume, a Police Officer who was killed last night by armed robbers in Nalumunye, Kampala.
Uganda Police (Flying Squad) went to arrest robbers in Nalumunye and Armed Robbers opened bullets at the Police that killed Tugume.

The Police managed to kill two robbers, recovered a gun which belongs to the same Police and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary for Defence or a ‘minister for defence’ in Nalumunye got arrested for being a ringleader of Armed Robbery Gang in Uganda. NRM is a ruling political party in Uganda.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Ibin Ssenkumbi says suspected thugs hire guns from police and engage the same police in a shoot-out. Senkumbi however says police are following down all its officers and men in habit of hiring guns to thugs.
