The Democratic Party has suspended Kampala City advocates, Joseph Muguluma and Joseph Balikuddembe from the party’s legal team.
The lawyers mentioned they are no longer representing DP in any court of jurisdiction.
The Legal Advisor of DP, Fred Mukasa Mbidde told Ultimate Media in Kampala today that the party accuses the lawyers of defending and supporting the leaders of DP breakaway faction.
Mukasa also says miscellaneous cause number 37 of 2010 which was lodged by MP Lulume Bayiga of the breakaway DP faction has also been withdrawn by the leaders of DP mainstream.
He says an interim order restraining the leaders of the DP breakaway faction from calling themselves leaders of DP was also issued on Monday by Kampala High Court.
The order in favour of DP mainstream restraining the leaders of the DP breakaway faction, their servants, workmen or any other person claiming title through them from convening meetings, uttering statements and holding delegates conference in the names of DP.
