The winners of the Mbarara Western Challenge Rally 2014 are assured of trophies donated by legendary rally driver Moses Lumala to the organisers of the event.
The event will take place from February 28 to March 2 according to event chief organiser Hajji Gombe Hamidu.
The Mbarara Western Challenge Rally 2014 event was launched at TAP office in Ndeeba, Kampala last week.
Twenty one drivers registered for the 336.04km rally that will start with a 6.8km Super Special Stage at Misaali in Masaka. The following day will consist of 4 competitive sections including 198km of transport section. The 82.2 km Kyamugolani-Rushozi section, according to Gombe, is the longest while the Kanyanyeru-Biharwe is the shortest at 14.4km.
