Reports circulating in Kampala indicate that Anne Mugisha, the former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) activist who quit the party to work as the information officer for UN political office for Somalia, was killed in a bomb attack in Mogadishu.

The news about Anne Mugisha’s death has divided the people of Kampala with some sounding happiness over her death. Those who express happiness accuse Ms Anne Mugisha of betraying opposition in favour of UN job.

However, sources in Somalia have told us that the news about Anne Mugisha’s death is false. We have just established that Ann Mugisha is unhurt and was not near the scene of the bomb that killed a dozen people in Mogadishu yesterday.
