Muslims in Kampala today woke up to the sad news of the demolition of Spidiqah mosque and Mengo Islamic Primary School.

The one acre plot of land in Kampala on which these structures are housed was sold by the Imam to city bussinesman Bosco Muwonge, who reportedly wants to build a church on the land that has been housing a mosque and a school.

It is a pity that the Imams and Sheikhs are the one leading the crusade of selling Muslim properties. The Supreme Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Zubair Kayongo says Muslims should stand up against this vice which is eating up the Muslim properties.

But one wonders how a businessman enters such a venture of purchasing a mosque to set up a church.
