The police in Nakaseke are hunting unidentified criminals who murdered a kid on Sunday in Ngoma Sub County.
The LCI chairman of Ngoma zone C, Moses Bigirwa identifies the slain baby boy as Deo Naturinda, 2.
The LCI chief, who describes the incident as shocking and merciless, says the baby was stolen from its mother last night.
Bigirwa says the mother of the baby had gone to a nearby shop to buy paraffin and left the baby alone inside the house. When the mother returned and could not trace her baby she made an alarm and the neighbors came. The neigbours mounted a search and they were shocked to find the body of the baby dumped in the nearby bush.
The police removed the body and took it to Nakaseke hospital mortuary for postmortem check.
The police, Local Council officials and army from the nearby Kaweweta barracks are working together to trace the murderers.
