Leakey Foundation Grants offers study of human origins

The Leakey Foundation Grants: L. S. B. Leakey Foundation grants and fellowships are given to scholars and students for the study of human origins.

Grants are irrespective of Nationality.

Fields of interest: Africa; Anthropology/sociology; Science, research

Types of support: Fellowships; Foreign applicants; Postdoctoral support; Research

General Research Grants

General Research Grants are awarded twice annually and constitute the majority of the Foundation’s grant program. Priority for funding is given to the exploratory phases of promising new research projects that meet the stated purpose of the Foundation.

The majority of the Foundation’s General Research Grants to doctoral students are up to $13,500 and $22,000 to post-doctoral students and senior scientists.

Grants are awarded twice annually, with no citizenship restrictions.
