Sandra Ngabo says she did not find her name in the voters’ register but some sources say she is registered in Wakiso district a conurbation of Kampala.

Emanuel Tumusiime of Forum for Integrity Leadership (FIL) did vote oneself or other candidates because he is a registered voter in his home area Rukungiri about 400 kilometres from Kampala.

Though it was quite surprising to the supporters of the duo, in the just concluded presidential elections Presidential candidate Oara Otunu of UPC who lead the last week’s demonstration against the unfairness of the elections did not vote for oneself.

The electoral law allows any Ugandan to compete for political office in any area so long they are a registered voter in any area in Uganda.

No wonder the two are trailing hevaily in the elections results partially being declared at different polling stations with Ngabo and Tumusiime scoring single digit votes or zero at many polling stations.

Kampala Central MP Erias lukwago who competed for Kampala mayor as an Independent candidate is reported to be in the lead followed by National Resitance Movement flag bearer peter Sematimba.
