Orange Uganda has announced a new product where their customers will be able to receive and reply to emails by sms even if they are not connected to the internet.

Ugandans to interact with those online via phone sms

The company in a statement today said the email SMS service enables Orange customers to receive and reply email from any mobile phone, from anywhere, using SMS.

“With email SMS one does not have to rush to a computer and does not need to have an internet connection to read or reply an email,” the statement says

Orange customers can subscribe for the service, text emailsms to 141 and follow the instructions to activate their email address.
