Tembo Steel Mills, a steel rolling factory, is in the final stages of phasing out its plants over insufficient power supply in different parts of the country especially in Uganda.
Sources in Tembo Steel Mills privy to this information told us that the multi-billion plant, which people say President Yoweri Museveni owns shares, is closing part of its branches before March 2014.
Tembo has over the past three years been suffered losses, which has interfered with their production and growth.
“It is true we are closing our main machinery …to consolidate our production process,” Anand Kedia, an official from Tembo Steels says. Tembo Steel Mills recently made investments worth billions of shillings.
