USA commits $100, 000 to empower Ugandan girls

The United States has set aside 100,000 US dollars to empower Ugandan girls become economically independent and responsible leaders.

The money will be channeled through seven selected schools namely Nabisunsa, Mbogo High, Gayaza senior, Nabingo, Bweranyange girls and Tororo girl’s schools.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, his excellence the ambassador to Uganda Jerry P Lanier said the status of the world’s women is not only the matter of morality and justice but also a political, economic and social imperative.

The USA has committed to the empowerment of young women not just because it is the right to do but also because it is the smart thing to do.
