KCC recently launched the Keep Kampala Clean project that has costed KCC about 13 billion Uganda Shillings. The project aims at riding the city of filthy outlook.

Lukwago told journalists that the project was launched without even the prior consultation of the technical committee of KCC to which Lukwago belongs to.

The MP says key stakeholders should have been consulted to give their input to enable the success of the project.

He says the project is surrounded with mystery which risks exposing it to corruption because he knew about it through the media.

Despite Mayor Nasser Ssebagala’s campaign promises to make Kampala City clean, the city remains dirty, disorganized and invaded with potholes. Analysts believe the poor state of Kampala City is a result of corruption by KCC officials.
