MP petitions house over red eye disease

The Member of Parliament for Mbale Municipality, Wamai Wamanga (Forum for Democratic Change) has petitioned Uganda parliament today over the increasing Red-Eye disease infection in different parts of the country.

Red eye disease has of recent hit Mbale, Arua, Luweero, Kampala, Kayunga, Pader, Kitgum, Kotido, Pader, Tororo and Jinja among other districts of the country.

MP Wamai says the problem of Red eye disease could worsen if Parliament doesn’t force the Ministry of Health to control the disease. Thousands of Ugandans are getting infected of red eye disease daily.

The doctors at Mulago Hospital say red eye disease could be controlled by practicing basic hygiene and avoiding getting in close contact with infected persons.
