Uganda Police urges support from Civil Society Organization

Uganda Police has called upon civil society organizations to urgently support the force in curbing murders. Police say murder cases have increased in the country.

The urge comes at a time when murder cases are on increase across the country since the year began.

The police commander for Buganda region, Richard Muvule says murder crimes are hard to handle by police alone without additional support from the civil society organizations and members of the general public.

Muvule says Civil Society organizations need to come on board and assist police in curbing crimes. He was addressing the media in Kampala today.

The Police say about 123 murder cases have been reported in Buganda region since the beginning of 2010.
