MPs visit bomb victims at Mulago hospital

Over one hundred MPs have visited the last Sunday night’s bomb blasts victims at Mulago National Referral Hospital today. The MPs have been led to Mulago by the Speaker of Parliament, Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi and the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga.

The MPs have contributed 100,000 each for the victims of the twin bomb blasts. Over 78 people died and scores injured in bomb blasts at Kabalagala and Kyadondo Rugby Club last Sunday.

The MPs while visiting the bomb victims at Mulago urged the central government to fulfill its promise to contribute five million shillings towards burial expenses for each of the victims and three million shillings for medical expenses of each of the injured.

The legislators have also urged Al Shabaab militants to curb military attacks on civilians in Uganda, Somalia and across the world.
