Internal Affairs ministry blocks illegal immigrants

The Directorate of citizenship and immigration at the Internal Affairs Ministry has started hunting illegal immigrants in Kampala.

The ministry has also asked organizations to register all their non Ugandan employees for easy security following the July 11th bombings in Kampala in which over 70 people died.

The Minister for Internal Affairs, Hajji Kirunda Kivejinja has also asked Ugandans to report illegal immigrants living in their areas.

He says the people who abuse Uganda immigrant laws will be arrested and deported. Addressing journalists in Kampala today, the minister said there are many illegal foreigners in Uganda today.

He says some foreigners have expired permits and others have no permits at all.
