The Bika (Clans of) bya Buganda football tournament opens on Saturday July 24th at Nakivubo stadium. The opening match is between Lugave and Ngonge.
Fourty-one clans are competing for this year’s crown. The tournament has been sponsored by Kobil Uganda Limited at a package of 20 million Uganda shillings.
The tournament has been organized by bika bya Buganda football committee. The Katikkiro of Buganda, Eng. JB Walusimbi thanks Kobil Uganda Limited for sponsoring the tournament.
Getting sponsors of different games in Uganda is still a big challenger to event organizers. Most advertisers and sponsors are interested in associating more with entertainment industry.
