Opposition may lose 2011 elections, says Ofwono Opondo

The Deputy Spokesperson of the National Resistance Movement, Ofwono Opondo has said many opposition politicians may lose seats in 2011 general elections.

President Yoweri Museveni

He says this is because many opposition politicians currently representing people in Parliament and at local council level on many occasions decline to support and implement the government development programmes -denying people at the grassroots services.

Addressing journalists in Kampala today, Ofwono said many opposition politicians think by supporting and implementing the government’s development programmes they will be prolonging President Museveni’s leadership.

Ofwono says the opposition politicians forget that their refusal to support and implement government programmes denies their electorates services.
