Although statistics show that the number of health facilities in the country is increasing annually, the equipments needed in these heath facilities is severely insufficient or example patient beds are seriously lacking in such health facilities.

According to a report of FHRI on the right to Health Care in Uganda in several health centres mainly in the rural areas patients; both male and female are always housed in the same wards regardless of their condition because of lack of enough facilities in such health centres.

The report such condition of housing patients in the same wards just due to lack of adequate equipments seriously compromises the quality of treatment that Ugandans get when they visit such health centres and hence the need for the government to increase its supply of health equipments to such health centres.

He says to make matters worse health centres where equipment is near to inadequate lack the required manpower they need to give treatment to the people that visit such health centres.

FHRI says besides some of the health facilities in rural areas are housed in buildings that are so dilapidated that they are on the verge of collapse.
