Bindandi calls for peaceful change of government

PPP President Jabel Bidandi Ssali

The President of People Progressive party, Jabeli Bidandi Ssali has appealed to Ugandans and people in Africa to desist from forceful means of changing political leadership.

Bidandi says it is possible to change political power without using force if one exercises some patience. He says forceful change of power leads to violence and suffering for the whole country as those forcefully being kicked out do not want to go easily.

Speaking about the heroes of Uganda’s independence, Bidandi said we should learn from their peaceful efforts of lobbying and agitations to achieve independence instead of looking to remove those we oppose by force of arms or coups.

Bidandi, a former Minister for Local Government in President Yoweri Museveni’s regime says it is important to use the available political space to lobby for change in leadership.
