South Africa to equip Oliver Tambo Military Academy in Uganda

South Africa has promised to donate military equipment worth 7,000,000 Rands about 2.2 Billion Uganda shillings to equip Oliver Tambo Military Academy, which is lcoated in Nakaseke district.

SA President Jacob ZumaThe promise was offered to President Yoweri Museveni on his two days state visit in South Africa over the weekend.

The Oliver Tambo Military Academy established in memory of fighters against apartheid in South Africa is one of the leading professional military training institutions in Uganda.

While talking to the press conference in South Africa, Museveni equated his National Resistance Movement (NRM) party to South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC) of Zuma saying that they are all revolutionary political parties.

According to a statement from Uganda Statehouse, President Museveni and his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma discussed issues on how they can reform the African Union and establish peace in Africa.
