Traders in Kampala St. Balikuddembe Market in particular have asked government to review the taxes imposed on second hand products.

The traders say that the government’s program of Prosperity for All will not be effective with factors like high taxes which hamper some people to engage in businesses.

They say that because of exorbitant taxes they import little goods and they lose customers because of the increased prices caused by the tax factor.

Joseph Matsiko a trader in the market said that with the vote they gave President Museveni last week, he should revise taxes favourably so that small scale businesses are attractive to both entrepreneurs and buyers of goods and services.
