Uganda opposition demands arrest of police officer Arinaitwe

The opposition has put up a reward of one million shillings for the arrest of police officer Gilbert Arinaitwe who led the violent arrest of Forum for Democratic Change President Dr. Kizza Besigye.

This has been announced by the  the shadow minister for internal affairs  Hussein Kyanjo while briefing journalists  at parliament on the letter containing the demands the opposition is making to the Inspector General of Government  kale kaihura and the minister of internal affairs kirunda kivejinja over the brutality extended to  Besigye  and others .

Kyanjo said that whoever sees Arinaitwe should arrest him and hand over him to police or isolate them by running away from them because brutal  acts of  security people like Arinaitwe  are claiming many lives of innocent civilians.

He also revealed that the opposition is going to publish the images of the security agents and ministers who are killing and brutalizing Ugandans on face book so as such people with brutal characters are identified in society and account for their actions.

He added that on Tuesday next week the opposition will launch a campaign to publish the pictures of all the wrong elements in security killing people without government punishing them and he said that their pictures will be distributed widely in the country .

Kyanjo also  asked foreign missions to deny travel documents to people who run out of the country after killing the people.

He asked IGP kaihura to explain to why police officer like Arinaitwe are dressed in civilian clothes  and execute police work.

He asked the minister of internal affairs kirunda kivejinja to explain where he got orders to defend live shooting to civilians.
