Kenyan Airways apologizes to Dr. Besigye

The Kenyan Airways has apologized to the Ugandan Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party leader Dr. Kiiza Besigye for the inconvenience that might have caused to block his morning flight as scheduled.

The Kenyan Airways Managing Director, Titus Naikuni says that Dr. Besigye is supposed to have boarded the KQ 410/11th May at 0800 hours but the internal intelligence reported that an aircraft with Dr. Besigye onboard would not be allowed to land on Entebbe Airport.

He says that Dr. Besigye would not be allowed to board at that time before Kenya Airways would confirm from the government of Uganda.

Naikuni says that for the convenience of other passengers the flight could not be delayed while waiting for confirmation from Uganda.
