Members of Parliament urged to hold government accountable

The Member of Parliament for Budadiri west who is also the chairman of the public accounts committee of parliament Nathan Nandala Mafabi has called upon the new members of parliament to work together in holding the executive accountable.

Mafabi told the new MPs during their orientation on the oil and gas legislation that they do not need to shy away from asking for accountability from the executive.

He says that Uganda belongs to every Ugandan and therefore they need to work together in order to have a developed country.

He says that one of the key roles of the members of parliament is to hold the executive accountable but says that is a task which needs boldness.

Mafabi says that good governance entails accountability and therefore everyone should fight for it.
