Government challenged to increase funds to Kalangala District

The Government has been asked to offer special attention to Kalangala district in terms of transport, health and education facilities.

Immediately after swearing in to serve his 3rd term in the 9th parliament Bujumba constituency Member of Parliament Fred Bada told journalist at parliament that Kalangala island has a large population but government doesn’t offer enough funds to enable them develop themselves.

He noticed that qualified persons deny working in the area because of poor infrastructure. So he has called upon government to offer special initiatives to attract workers.

Bada added that the islands are considered to accommodate many infected persons but he attributed to ignorance about preventive measures of HIV/AIDS.

He called upon government to increase health funds and HIV/AIDS counselor to sensitize the people about HIV/AIDS.
