Workers MP warns security agents against violence on people working

Workers Representative in the next Parliament Topista Ssentongo has condemned the act of harassment among the workers by security agents which she said Government must do something to respect the rights of workers while on duty.

Ssetongo’s out cry was in line with recent harassment and beating of Journalists while on duty which she said must not continue because the role of Journalists is to inform the public and therefore should not be harassed while on duty.

She also revealed that as workers representative in the 9th Parliament she will push for the enactment of Minimum wage so that Uganda can suit with other Countries in the Region so that Ugandans are not cheated as they pursue their duties.
