Uganda Health Ministry training staff on Ebola response

The ministry of health has started training its staff on preventive measures needed effectively respond to the Ebola outbreak.

A team of director general of health services Dr. Denis Ramafa says training of isolation units began on Thursday last week in Bombo general hospital, Kihoko general hospital and Bugiri hospital health workers are being briefed on how to handle emergency cases a rising from Ebola if they came up.

In statement released yesterday, Ramafa a sued the public that they are doing all they can to contain the Ebola disease. Ebola cases were reportedly to have killed a 12 year old girl in Luweero and Bugiri.

Ramafa says the ministry has intensified training of its rapid response team to the districts that are on high risk alert which include Luweero, Kampala. Wakiso, Mukono, Nakaseke and Nakasongola.
