Al-shabab target Uganda’s opposition leaders

The Inspector General of Police, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura has written to the leaders of the opposition political parties informing them on the intelligence report that the Al-shabab are organizing attacks on the opposition politicians.

According to information from the three opposition party leaders Olara Otunu UPC, Norbert Mao DP and Sam Lubega independent the IGP’s letter asked them to mind their security.

In today meeting between Otunu, Mao and Lubega they resolved to meet Kayihura for detailed information of the copies of the letters.

The UPC Vice President Joseph Bbosa says that though the parties leaders have personal security, they will meet the IGP asking him on the type of security that would be required.

Bbosa says they have written a letter to Gen. Kayihura asking him for the meeting schedule.
