The ministry of relief and disaster preparedness has at least received food for malnourished children. The ministry says the foods will address the high level of malnourishment amongst children especially in the Karamoja region.

Karamoja has the highest number of children suffering from malnutrition something that has retarded their growth development.

Speaking to journalist in Kampala the state minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness Musa Ecweru says the consignment is still being cleared from customs and will soon be taken to the affected communities.

Minister Ecweru expressed confidence that will go a long way in addressing malnutrition among the children in Karamoja region.
