Sebagala fails to turn up for office hand-over

The handover function flopped on June 2 when the former Kampala City Council Mayor, Nasser Ntege Sebagala failed to turn up.

The handover that had attracted a number of dignitaries was called off when Sebagala failed to turn up without making any communication to the organizers of the function.

Sebagala was supposed to hand the office over to the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who has been threatening to sue Sebagala over the delayed handover and continued use of public properties.

It took hours for the Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi to communicate to Sebagala on phone who told her that he was unable to show up because he has some ailment and he is at the hospital.

Sebagala who was appointed by President Museveni as the Minister without Portfolio over the weekend, was declared unfit by the appointments committee yesterday causing speculations that Sebagala might have developed a heart attack due to the shock.
