The Inspectorate Spokesperson, Ali Munira says that the suspects’ cases are about the CHOGM programs which were not executed as expected such as hotel investments, fixing street lights, decorations, security telecommunications, and diversion of the northern by-pass.

For the purpose of investigation, Munira has declined to reveal the identities of the suspects.

The nine suspects will be joining the former Vice President Gilbert Bukenya who was summoned by the Anti-corruption court to report to it on June 16 to answer charges of abuse of office and using fraudulent means to issue contracts to supply the CHOGM cars among other charges.
