New ministers challenged to fight corruption

Anti-corruption activists have challenged new ministers to work towards restoring reputation in their ministries and offices if they are to win public support.

The call comes after formers ministers are handing over their offices to the newly sworn in ministers last week.

The executive director transparency international Uganda Robert Rugorobe says responding to the interest of the people has been undermined in the past leaderships aimed at serving people would be positive gesture and vision the gap between the leaders and citizen.
