The Uganda Tax Operators and Drivers Association has vowed to remain in charge of the transport sector in Uganda.

In a meeting held at the Youth sharing hall Nsambya, the members have vowed to fight with anyone in the Kampala Capital City Authority that intends to disorganize their work.

Last week, the Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago stated that UTODA’s contract had expired last year and will soon be subjected to fresh bidding.

UTODA general secretary Charles Kamya says they are sure that their contract with KCCA is still valid and that nobody can terminate their tender except the President.
