High Court postpones rulling of James kakooza suit against parliament

The Kampala High Court has postponed the ruling on the application in which former minister of health in primary health James Kakooza is challenging the Parliaments appointments committee’s refusal to issue him with its vetting decision on his ministerial appointment on the same post.

Justice Eldad Mwangusya who was expected to giving the ruling on the application today has pushed it to tomorrow afternoon because it was not ready.

In the application, Kakooza contends that he was nominated by the president and dully appeared before the said committee for vetting.

He says that since then, he does not know his fate and continues to read from the press that his nomination was not successful.

He adds that he has reminded the committee twice to communicate to him its decision but in vain and thus, his nomination continues to be in balance.

Earlier this week the committee asked court to dismiss this application.

It says it is only obliged to communicate to the president and not any other person
