Inspector of Schools arrested over corruption

The Bwamba county inspector of schools in Bundibugyo district Kaguruki   Aramathan is currently under detention at Bundibugyo police post on charges of abuse of office and causing financial loss to government.

Mugha Bakari the western region police spokesman told journalists that the suspect has been conveying with teachers from private school to make them access the government pay role.

Some of the teacher who fell victim are Bihamba William and Bwambale Jaafa both from Dynamnic primary school, Mutabazi Isaac and Bwambale Obed from Supper primary school and Junior primary school respectively.

The police say that on receiving their arrears for the last seven months totalling to 1.67 million shilling each, Kaguruki   Aramathan the suspect would collect 1.1 million shillings from each.

Bakari says that police carried out investigations contacting the office of the district CAO and District Education Officer.

On his arrest, Kaguruki was discovered with over 300,000 shilling which the police say he had acquired from his new clients.
