Business Link SACCO leader sacked over missing money

Officials of Twete Business Link SACCO in Kyankwanzi sub-county have fallen into trouble for allegedly abuse of the members’ savings worth 12 million shillings.

The implicated officials are Ronald Sekajja manager Twete Business Link SACCO and three other board members.

Sekajja is accused of misappropriating 6 million shillings and three board members are accused of illegally a warding and taking a loan worth 6 million shillings.

On Monday over 500 members of Twete Business Link SACCO petitioned Tukaikiriza Kyankwanzi resident district commission over the matter.

Ndodo Sensasira Salongo a member of the SACCO says they petitioned to the RDC following disappearance of Sekajja the SACCO manager.

The Kyankwanzi RDC Tukaikiriza ordered the immediate termination of contracts of the implicated officials saying he can’t sit down and watch as government programs are being sabotaged.

Abubakari Kayimba was elected as a new SACCO Chairman, Salongo Nsesasira Ndondo elected as deputy chairman, Sewanya Gertrude treasurer and five others committee members.

However Abdulah Lukaka insists that he is still the chairman Twete Business Link SACCO. Lukaka who claims that his term in office expires six months has threatened to seek legal redress in the courts of law.

He accuses the Resident District Commission of acting outside the law by ordering fresh election.
