The Ugandan women conducting businesses across borders have expressed the need for a translated version of the customs and immigration regulation across regional boarders into vernacular.

Speaking to the press in Kampala the executive director, Uganda Export Promotions Board Florence Nkata said some women in informal cross border trade are less literate to understand English.

Nkata says through the 21 cross boarder women traders association projects, a fund has been put in place to have women trained in documentation concerning cross border trade.

She expressed the need for women to get organized into associations saying this will enable
them understand customs practices better.
