Mayanja Memorial Foundation boosts Ibanda health services

Over 200 village health workers in Ibanda district have received health equipment, for effective delivery of services in their communities.

Mugisha Frank the district health educator says a total of 225 village health workers have received medical equipment and registers, after they completed a training course on how to give first aid, using simple  technologies within their catchment areas.

The district health educator Ibanda Frank Mugisha warned the beneficiaries against the misuse of government property for their private businesses.

The Field officer Mayanja memorial foundation, in charge Ibanda and Kiruhura districts, Jamson Bagyena, said the village heath workers had complained of lack of transport to enable them reach distant areas, lack of recognition by health staff, and requested for identification in terms of issuing out badges, T-Shirts and certificates.
