Hailstorm destroys crops in western Uganda

Wind and hail storm has destroyed crops, life stock and houses in Kabulinda zone Kabonero sub county Kabarole district posing fears of server famine among the residents in the mere future.

Agonzibwa Tadeo a resident of Kabonero Sub County says the heavy rains started yesterday at 4:00 PM and left over 10 of his poultry birds dead.

Agonzibwa explains that the heavy winds also left a number of people homeless after their roof tops were carried off.

Among the other things destroyed include over two hectares of coffee plantations, banana plantations, maize, cassava gardens among others.
