Police, Human Rights Net work Uganda launch complaints form

Human Rights Net work Uganda and police standard unit have launched a process of developing a police form which will be used by the public to lodge complaints against police officers who engage in committing crimes in the country.

The Advocacy officer with Human Rights Network Uganda Patrick Tumwine said that a  form reporting police officers committing crimes will help in  disciplining the police officers who violate Human Rights and go freely due to lack of any one lodging complaints against such a police officer .

Tumwine said that police should work on the gazetting of the proposed police form that is intended to report the police officers misconduct to police standard unit to take action against them.

The police officers who engage in crimes like corruption, bribery, abuse of human rights, neglect of duty and any other misconduct by police officers.
