DPC cautions youths against rioting

The District Police Commander of Old Kampala Siraje Bakaleke has issued a warning to the public not to engage themselves in the walk to work campaign phase II.

Bakaleke says Police will not hesitate to arrest any one who will be caught in the act of the strike.

He has cautioned the youths especially those belonging to the Activists for Change to be very careful and to get other things to do other than involving themselves in the riots.

Bakaleke adds that all those who want to avoid problems with the Police should stay at home or mind their own business off the streets.

There has been a very heavy presence on the roads in and around Kampala citing the possibility of the resumption of the walk to work demos over the rising cost of living across the country
